Meet Me in My Blues

Many congratulations are in order for my good friends The Bailey Brothers Band. A poll by WAPT, a central Mississippi news affiliate, announced yesterday that The Bailey's are Jackson's favorite local band.
I have to admit that I'm terribly tempted to share one of the many stories of late night drunkeness of epically redneck proportions featuring many of the insane things that the guys in this band have been known to engage in on a regular basis, however I know that if I were to do something like that it would only blow up in my face. The bastards have way more on me than I on them.

Let's just say that I've never had to bail any of them out of jail. They can't say the same for me I don't think. Not by a long shot. Thankfully, my days of running around Jackson under the influence of a myriad of chemicals are long gone, and it's been a while since I've seen these boys, but by the looks of things they're taking to the freak n roll lifestyle fairly well. Again, congratulations my friends!
To you readers, if you ever find yourself in Mississippi with not much to do, it will definitely be worth your time to go check out these guys...who apparently are the hottest blues band in state right now.
Well...I can't close yet. Not without a picture of my favorite baby. Brad Carter (the drummer above in the painfully Irish hat) and wife Lorena decided to give their firstborn son the coolest name in the history of names, so he naturally turned out to be just as cute as I was at his age...here's Little Joseph:
